I would like to mod hunters and i don't know how to do these things:
1) change hunters colors
2) make their skin (the orange part) more resistent, almost as the blue armor
about 2), i know i could change the damage modifier of all the projectile in the map (guerrila>weapons>projectile>impact damage: damage modifiers), but i would like to have normal hunters and a stronger version (boss-like), changing the damage is gonna affect both of them (am i right?).

You would have to create a multipurpose map for the hunters that supports color change
You'd have to change the shader for the skin; open it and change the material from Hunter Skin to something else???

ok thanks, but... Quote: You would have to create a multipurpose map for the hunters that supports color change sorry for being a newb, how do i do that? Quote: You'd have to change the shader for the skin; open it and change the material from Hunter Skin to something else??? if you are referring to the shaders folder (inside the hunter folder), well, i don't see any skin shader there, the 'main' shader is "hunter torso.shader_model", but i don't know how to edit it. thanks again, i don't pretend a complete explanation but a few suggestions will be fine =)

yeah i thought about that but i was lokking for another solution, i would like to have no weak spot, even if i could balance that giving him a one shot melee kill, so hitting him from behind is gonna be risky =) not sure though
one more question, if i want to change a biped dimensions, like having a bigger hunter =), do i have to 'rip' it an modify it with 3ds max and then 'rebuilt' it? i don't even know the corrrect words xD lulz
thanks guys

1) Study the multipurpose maps of the other characters that have a color change, and modify the one from the regular hunter. You will also need to take the regular bitmaps and change all of the blue armor to either white or a light grey. I was working on my own modified hunters, trying to get them as a decent multi-player character. I even was working on something to be able to have him carry different weapons. http://img1.imagehousing.com/54/e848eceff20ac40bdd0542bc32fddd98.jpg (I tried uploading a different picture as well, but the site I had to use wouldn't let me.) 2) Well... I don't think you would want to make his skin literally as tough as his metal armor, but as was mentioned by the others, you would set his health to a higher level. You technically could change his skin material type, but I wouldn't put it as metal.... And yes, to get a bigger hunter, you would need to import the model into max and resize it. Unfortunately, it is actually a bit more complex than this. You would need to reanimate him as well, since the new size would not comply with the original hunter animations.

its simple..... open guerrilla and then open the hunter collision model. then go to materials and change hunter skin to hunter armor not hunter shield the shield makes him almost invulnerable even to tank shells.

If you physically select the hunter model when you get it into 3ds or whatever program you use; please hold shift when you do (it keeps everything proportionate[like editing a photo]; you wouldnt want a king kong hunter with a fingernail sized shield or anything like that XD)
