No... who care's if it has offensive captions. You have control over control over what you view, if you don't like it then don't go on the website...

The age group which Halo is rated for the "M" group which is for Mature people, 17+. If the image has are skin on and was ACTUAL porn then something would need to be done, but suggestive is fine... don't get all butt-hurt over it.

Children should not be visiting such a website seeming as the game therefore images of it should be rated M/17+.

How old are you? Seeming as you are complaining about such an image are you a parent? If so, Parental Control's are there for a reason.



I'm going to guess this is the image you are talking about. There is no foul language on there nor is there any ACTUAL exposed parts seeming as it is just a game...
That's like going to a farmer and suing him because his horses are making babies or how ever you wish to describe it.

Here's the flaw in your logic, most of the members of this site are 12 to 15 years old, and so are the people captioning these images.

Also, I'm 19 and I'd be totally ok with them being removed from the site entirely, none of them are funny, they just serve as an annoyance, if I wanted to see dumb images captioned by preteens I'd go to 4chan.

Fair enough yeah, but still. The game is rated M, so really a website for it should be rated M.

But either way, still a minor thing to complain about.

While I agree that some of the captions are stupid, most time not actually funny and nearly always juvenile I have been assured but the guys over at Lame or Game that none of the screenshots are modified nor edited and all can be found in game or in the archive at Bungie.net. While not as strict as I am in regards as to what language they will allow they have assured me that they will not allow the "f" bomb, the "n" word or any hate or racist statements in the submitted captions. At times there are some genuinely funny if not hilarious captions which is why I decided to post random shots from their website.

As to your specific complaint of "a picture depicting 2 Spartans having intercourse", it can not actually be a picture of what you describe because the game engine does not allow the characters to actually engage in intercourse within the game and since the pictures are not modified and are actual screenshots one must conclude that it cannot actually be what you think but something else such as the rag-doll bodies of the game characters no longer controlled by a player thrown about by the physics engine in the game. I would if I were attempting to be flippant suggest that you get your mind out of the gutter but I can actually see that with the added captions one could get the idea that they were in fact having intercourse which, by the way, is the actual point of the lame or game website and the captioned images to begin with: To make you feel a dissonance between what you know the picture depicts and what the caption says which often results in laugher or some level of humor.

As long as the lame or Game guys do not change their policy of what they allow for captions we will continue to show them. Otherwise it will always be like this:

I'm sorry, read my first post again, I answered your question. Game or not, it is aimed to SUPPORT a game which M rated, so it must also be an M rated website due to that fact members SHOULD be 17+ due to the game it supports.

Adult/Teenager, it does not matter. As long as the point is valid and the person knows what they are talking about. People act as if adults are correct about EVERYTHING, when in fact this is biased and not true.

I have viewed your concern from you perspective seeming as I clearly stated that there is such a thing built in all versions of windows and many firewall's and virus scanners, called Parental Control's. This allows you to block websites which you do not wish your child to visit.

As Dennis said the game engine does not all the 3 dimensional images to do such actions which your complaining about, so it is only the person's mind which interprets them actions being taken place, hell, children shouldn't understand what a "blowjob" is, so it should not matter either way.

I was not being rash in my response but maybe I was dismissive. If you are objecting to a singular picture/caption please supply the link to it and I will review it with the Lame or Game people. The images rotate randomly on this website so I cannot be sure to which specific one you are objecting.

Please identify what makes it objectionable the picture itself, the caption or both. If however you are objecting to all of them or the concept in general then I am sorry but I cannot help you since as you may surmise that although I may not find them all in good taste, so far I have not found any to be objectionable and we will continue to display them unless LorG becomes lax in the standards they have so far set.

Porn? Meh, not really. Porn is more considered what is shown not what is intended. The picture, without the guy on it is porn. Nothing is shown actually in this picture since anything of interest is covered up therefore it isn't really porn in the eyes of the majority of the world. Victorias Secret shows more than this on every page.

I personally find the LoG images funny and a small starter for when I get to the sites homepage.

First off it is not "porn" it is nudity. There is a very large difference. Second The Lame or Game guys have not violated the terms of service for their hosting nor violated any local laws or stepped beyond the bounds of decency. As a matter of fact they have gone out of their way to sanitize the captions for the more tender eyes of the viewers who most likely should not be visiting the website in the first place.

And while I do not allow nudity on this website what other websites do is up to them. The Lame or Game website is for 17 and older members if you are younger than that you should not be visiting them. The Halo Game while rated mature 17+ does not have nudity and therefore the screenshots do not either. That is why I have allowed to be posted random shots from the Halo section of Lame Or Game.
