I am trying to make a simple effect where rockets when fired at a shielded elite, will reflect off of them until the shields are brought down. I have tried editing material effects, swapping material effects, messing with other projectile types, and a bunch of other stuff all to no avail. Can anyone help me? or at least take a rocket launcher projectile and do up the tag for me? Either or would be greatly appreciated :D

Open the rocket projectile, scroll down to material responses, select elite energy shield from the drop down list, and then for default response, change it to reflect. Edited by UnevenElefant5 on Mar 22, 2011 at 11:11 PM

Did you read my post? I said I already did that and it still detonated immediately.

MAYBE you should try editing the impact effects that are USED! Look at CMT's spiker projectile. Even when it reflects off a metal surface, it still leaves a decal. That's part of the .effect tag used for projectile impacts. Edit that.

But in reply to Bobblehob, what you tried should have worked. One thing you could check is to make sure that the box that determines what triggers the detonation is not set to "after first bounce".

In the rocket projectile, go to the bottom, where the material impacts are found. In the list of materials (like dirt, wood, ice, etc.) find elite energy shield, and set everything to reflect.
