this has been a problem for may people. i have a windows xp, and when i click on sapien and click on the map i wanted to mod from HEK plus (for example, i mean clicking on a file like tutorial.scenario ) HEK only opens for a few seconds and then just closes  (look this up on youtube if u dont belive me) please, help me! i wanna make an awsome AI map, but i cant! (btw, i want to MOD maps, not make them with 3DS max.)

Post the last part of ur debug.txt
And try running as admin and setting the affinity to cpu0

btw i tried opening tutorial.scenario (i did not used HEK plus; it was already there) by doing that affinity thing were u change it to CPU0 etc.... still didn't work. i dont know how to run as admin, and somtimes when i try to extract a map with hek plus it comes up with an exeption saying that a tag is bieng used by another person or program.....

right click sapien and run as admin. as for the hek+ issue, only run hek+ on its own. Post the last bit of ur debug

go to hek+ open some map. to find normal.gbxmodel, click the plus on tags, then the plus on ui, then editor, markers, normal. then on the right side find normal.gbxmodel. if the map doesn't have it, try another map. keep trying maps until you find normal.gbxmodel when you do, right click on it, extract to desktop or someplace easy. then move that file to C:, Program Files, Microsoft Games, Halo Custom Edition, tags, ui, editor, markers, normal. If you don't have any of these folders, make one. (If you don't have the editor folder, make new folder, and name it editor.) open sapien again. if it still doesn't work, post last part of debug.

go to program files,microsoft games,halo custom edition,tags,ui,editor,markers, normal,open that normal folder. you should see the normal.gbxmodel file.
if it's not there,you can either reinstall hek or post back and hopefully someone will send you the file you need.
but seeing your've only started modding then that to me would mean your tags folder hasn't had much added to it,so i would just reinstall hek then,up to you.

thanks, but it STILL dosnt work. when i click on tutorial.scenario in sapien, sapien still closes and HEK comes up for a sec, then closes. i did do the iffinity thing, but it didnt work. now here is the last part of the debug.txt:

Go through all the tags you just changed and make sure your block indexes do not say -1. Its usually one of the funtions in the tank's vehicle tag. Just find someone and get the tank folder from them.

ally is right, that is a scorpion error. You extracted and overwrote your scorpion tags at some point, i assume, dont do that.
