hi i just got my halo 3 scorpion tank able to export in bluestreak model exporter.the problem is when i go to export it shows a message sying the current dependent modifier is editable mesh would you like to.................etc i press yes and than it froze and gmax turns out like this: is this normal or is there something wrong? thanks from cheddars

IDK if chimp would solve that. Besides, chimp is very slow compared to bluestreak. Well the one thing I can say to maybe try is restarting your computer if it has been left on for a while. If not, I would say you might want to check your system processes (ctrl,alt,del) and see if any of them are unneeded and taking up CPU and memory. Compilation takes a decent amount of memory and CPU power and especially if your computer is not high quality, it may be causing this issue if it is trying to use more CPU or memory than it has.

I recommend waiting about an hour after starting it because with GMax it takes FOREVER to finish. So the problem is probably that you aren't waiting long enough.

You need to weld your vertecies. Otherwise, bluestreak will try to look through every single vertex possible and see what part of a node it is and then write that down on a jms, then go to the next vertex. There are about like 20k polys on this, with it also unwelded, I would say it will approximately take 3 hours to export, but if you weld and reapply smoothing groups, hmm maybe 1 minute max.
