You run the script; JMS exporter exports data to the MAXScript listener; you supply a grablistener executable (file that will copy the contents of the listener and prompt you to save the contents as a file); you save contents as a .JMS file in your appropriate data folder.
BAM! Ready to parse through tool.

By the way, does anybody know which version of 3DS Gmax is based off of? I think it's 3DS v5.1?

He meant which version of 3ds Max, not gmax. Gmax is a watered down version of Max 4 (not sure which version of 4, though).

its 5.4
Edited by hobbet on Mar 20, 2011 at 03:58 PM You sure it's 5.4? I read it was Max 4 (and The Ghost's says gmax is a 4.x version of Max according to its script). Bungie appears to have made CE using Max 5, as their provided blitzkrieg is only compatible with version 5. Having gmax as Max 5, watered down as it is, seems unrealistic given the rise of 3D modeling at the time it was used.
