just unscrew the back and the replace the aa's. Or you could just set the time it lasts for in guerilla

The jetpack is a damage effect, like man cannons. You can tell from the video.

With the active camo, did you set it so that when you activate the flashlight it spawns an active camo right where you are? Then did you change the timer for how long the camo lasts? And I have no idea whatsoever on how to use tag or map editing tools whatsoever, I'm just guessing lol.

Yep, you can manipulate the flashlight button to do quite a bit. You can do active camouflage, overshields and health packs. I would think it would be funny though if it was turned into an instant death button though, just to trick people.

lol yea you are right i did change out the flashlight for an active camo and make it so each one lasts for 1 second and it spawns one every second...but i did not make this way go to halo ce biped tags and look through them and you should find one named (invisible biped) or something like that it is how i did it but it has some problems like that every time you pick up a camo your screen pulses blue and you pick up one every 1 second and i would like it to shoot out in front of you does anyone know how to make it so it shoots out like a grenadedoes anyone know how to do that?

plz tell me how to change the lifespan on the flashlight

I don't think you can modify the flashlight duration; so far, I haven't seen anyone make a map with infinite flashlight or something like that.

sure, i was already planning on releasing a tutorial on making it. but i wanted to wait until i could change the flashlight so it would be perfect

as for no one making a map with infinite flashlight. it's because no one thinks about it. no one realizes that it even has a battery from what i can tell. because in the campaign you never use it for long enough to let it die

Little do you know, most professional players who have enough experience playing Halo DO know that the flashlight has a battery - there's even a bar right under the shield/health bar showing how much battery charge is left in your flashlight.

I believe that even in the manual for Halo PC, there's a paragraph stating that your flashlight recharges from the power pack of your suit. (( I have to dig my manual from the piles of random paper on my desk though >XD ))

So we know that the flashlight has a battery, we just don't know how to change it because we haven't dug deep enough into Halo's coding to figure that out yet. Once we do, however, I'm willing to bet that there will be a sudden influx of tutorials, maps and other similar projects with modified bipeds with unlimited flashlight charge.

You're right up until you said 'we just don't know how to change it because we haven't dug deep enough into Halo's coding to figure that out yet.' I don't think there is a value in any tag that changes the flashlight duration. Moreover, the flashlight does not sync in multiplayer.

first off. i know that they're is a bar under the shield\health bar, second i. know. that it sync's over multiplayer cause i have done it you can clearly see when someone has they're flashligh on or off furthermore i know it is possible to do this. with or without coding\scripting however i do not know. all i need to know is how to do this and i thought it would be simple i mean if they can make all this wonderful stuff for halo why hasn't anyone found this out yet?...i am thinking about emailing a bungie representative to try and got some help i will share this info once i find it and they're will be a tutorial on making jetpack

Flashlight data does not pass over the internet. Only when they press the key... but the on/off state and the power doesn't sync. You can test this out by running out all of your flashlight power and having someone join the game.

i don't know what commend your talking about. but i am guessing it is in the halo coding?. but if you or anyone can make me a script that can be repeated any amount of times and is called by you turning on your flashlight that makes it so when your flashlight is activated you have 9 seconds of battery than it would be awesome and i will post a tutorial on making jetpack on halomaps and give whoever made the script credit for it

P.S the reason it doesn't sync is because it doesn't change anything it it's surroundings. i recall back a while ago cmt made a multi player map that had a shock way function when you pressed the flashlight button it would shall we call it "force push" anyone standing within like 8 feet of you away and it did sync on internet so i think if it disturbs the surroundings then halo has no choice but to put it on every screen so it would sync

The information for flashlight battery does not pass over the internet. Only WHEN you press it.

Basically, but you will have to do it with a player increment.

That's because you're close to said enemy, so it syncs. Go make a server, turn on a flashlight, and have someone join in. Either they'll see that your light is off, or, when your flashlight battery dies, they'll still see the light from it.

Halo's engine does NOT support certain kinds of syncing properties, like AI and destructible vehicles. This is why you NEVER use either in a multiplayer map. And the flashlight not syncing was just an oversight of Bungie's when they made the game.

As it was said earlier, only items that disrupt or damage the environment actually sync - this is why Zanzibar's rotating windmill doesn't sync.
