wow, decided to come back here and see what's changed, never even knew this game existed until your post lol
rip, here's hoping that the maps we've come to be very familiar with (coldsnap, hugeass, yoyorast island etc.) get remade...
Holy...a yoyorast v3...man I loved using the transport hog in v2, would be wonderful to see it in MCC once official modding tools come out.
In CE it kinda sucked that v1 was the only one most servers had though.
Assuming that a version were to be made for MCC, would the scale have to be modified? The H3/HR hogs are a lot faster (or at least feel a lot faster) than the H1 hogs. Reach had a speedo where you could see the hog would max out at 120 km/h but now I'm actually curious as to what the top speed of the H1 hogs were. How many people here are tinkering with MCC PC? Seen some stuff that brings back some great memories like Extinction for Reach but it's still fairly basic since people are working with what they have. Can't wait for official modding tools.
Which other gun was used to mishmash with the H3 BR? The front sight post looks pretty neat. Besides the red striping, noticed other parts of the BR that weren't in the H3 incarnation.
Oh wow, didn't even know the debug cam could be moved - thought the movement controls were a HAC 2 thing.
Are the warthog sounds able to be changed? The model is great but it sounds like a tractor lol. Not sure if anyone's managed to extract and implement Halo 3/Reach's warthog engine sounds but I feel those are the best in the entire series, although that's just my opinion. The gatling gun could also use some work, sounds like the Halo 2 one (in fact, I think in Halo 2 most of the vehicle mounted machine guns were missing a bass layer so they sounded almost like pea shooters) with someone banging on some metal corrugated roof. H3 ODST's sounds were great as well - I remember Bungie mentioning that they reworked most of the weapon audio from Halo 3, adding extra layers on top of the gunshots to give them more impact. I still remember the difference between the H3 AR and ODST AR, and especially the Carbine...pretty sure Bungie also said that the ODST carbine sound is how it should've been in Halo 3. Any plans for making external utilities (such as flycam) useable with Fall of Mombasa? Sometimes I just like to sit back and watch the carnage.
Oooooh right, cheers.
Also I just used 7-zip, seems like Winrar doesn't like this rar archive for some reason.
Aww shucks...the end game update is corrupted or something? Downloaded it twice from that mediafire link in OP but both times Winrar said it was corrupted or in unknown format.
Man, what a time to be alive. Hopefully there's an editing kit so we can see the crazy stuff like we did from Custom Edition...
Also, Kornman is with 343? Damn son... Edited by Bottletopman on Apr 2, 2019 at 07:08 AM
Ahh, engine bugs galore. Like in FO3/New Vegas, weapons that fire non-hitscan projectiles with explosions attached to them (e.g. missiles) will deal no impact damage. Or weapons that had the 'Ignore damage threshold/resistance' flag didn't actually ignore damage threshold/resistance, meaning that your sweet, mean chainsaw didn't do as much damage that it normally would if that flag actually worked. It was only until 6-8 years later that a third party plugin fixed these things, and a whole bunch of other things too.
The GECK editor is OK...when it doesn't crash at least. Plus, you have to make INI edits to allow it to load multiple master files. At this point, the geck extender plugin is pretty much essential for efficient use of the GECK.
The world editing tools are quite nice, quite easy for a beginner like myself to learn how things work, but the animation department could use significant work (as just one example, there is actually a limit - may or may not be hardcoded - as to how many reload animations total can be used in the game). Creators of custom weapons must keep into account animation compatibility, and even now years later, there's still not much documentation about how animations work in Fallout's Gamebryo, although there have been strides with some reanimation packs being released.
But yeah, I guess if Halo's SDK was similar to the GECK it'd open up modding to a wider community. Years ago I took a look at the HEK and was like '...lol nope.'
Precisely what Masters said - try to turn on any cheat except devcam, SPV3 will just force a crash with no error msg.
I take it the scripts that'll go fubar if bump possessing are related to vehicle hijacking?
What's the dealie with gamecheat13? I've seen that ranting guy say that he destroys communities or something, I'm waaaaay outta the loop on this one, someone throw me a bone please, thanks :D
Yeah, I can see why the SPV3 maps had cheats disabled (cheats would apparently actually break the game) but I always wanted to mess around with bump possession in those campaigns.
Anyone happen to have the actual audio files from the Halo 3/ODST gauss turret sounds? Preferably the ODST version since sounds in that game were a lot beefier (particularly the sniper rifle and assault rifle).
Cheers

Looks like Laszlo Sorvad wasn't the only guy that made a latchkey discovery
I'll just see myself out
Yeah I suspected it might've been the safety, although I wasn't not considering the possibility of it being a charging handle of sorts because I can see how Flanker (or anyone really) would explore different concepts on the good old firearm. Edited by Bottletopman on Nov 27, 2015 at 09:46 PM
What's the thing right above the trigger on that QR762? Looks like it's gonna snag on your fingers when you pull the trigger.
