Does anyone think this is a good idea:

*prepares to be flamed by certain trolls*

A map where you load as sp and it goes to a movie using ai and lots of scripting. Feature length: 30 mins- 1 hr and a half depending on how complicated it is

If I were you I would just invest all that effort into an actual SP. That way the player can interact with the plot line and the experience will be somewhat varied each time, as opposed to exactly the same each time with no input from the viewer.

If you think you can pull it off, go for it.

I mean, does anyone think this is a good idea and would like to see something like it in the future

@elefant
perhaps that could be a variant of it, i dunno

Halo's ai acts differently every time it plays out, so there's no real 100% guarantee it would work.

it's possible but who the hell wants to deal with halo's terrible cinematic system, which apparently even lumoria was having problems using

you'd be better off just rendering a video from the 3D software, making it more available to a wider crowd

You are irritating, I'll release nothing

It's technically possible, but not plausible. You would have to use animations though, and script them in. Lumoria did this, you can look at that.
If you're a better animation than than the TM Lumoria team, then you could, but if you could animate that well you might want to make it entirely in your 3D software, where it would look better.

What? That's a very personal attack. I'm not a stupid person just because I think this could be done better through animation.

There is indeed a different reason for you being an idiot, I thought it was obvious, but I guess your below-average IQ does not allow you to see things clearly.

this

Also if you plan to make an entire animation ingame movie, good luck finding an animator. (its pretty much impossible to find a decent one)

Not technicaly true, I know about 7 decent animators. animating isnt so hard. heck i can do it. all you really need is a rigged biped and some basic pivoting knowledge or even if your lazy like me just download the animations from the net.

Was I talking about Lumoria? No.

Lumoria's ending animations was done by Shade and quite frankly they suck. If you think hes decent, tell me why those weren't. If you can do "advanced animations", please show me.

We also currently have back our good animator who did the vehicle animations and the bridge cut scene animations, so uhh

i just figured you were. since you usually do. and now we are it looks like. since you want to discuss your old teammates that are back. i was just stating an opinion on whats decent and not. and used an example. heck i couldve used another single player map but i didn't.

Slayer, you are simply incorrect. Lumoria did have some "advanced" animations.
The IQ of the average forum-member is below zero here.

I haz to agree

Is this why you didn't like my previous post? Because I was trying to put Lumoria in a better light by translating a comment.

He was referring to Slayer as being incorrect, not you. And no, the average IQ of people on this forum is probably relatively low considering their posting skills and they way they handle things on a online forum...

Obviously you thought we were referring to people like you! ... and you are correct

Lol, I am not sure if you are trying to insult me with you're post.
See, I was referring to him. Yet you think I was referring to me. Therefore, that makes you part of the average lodex was talking about. ;)
