i'm not exactly sure i can put asteroids out as i dont know how to make multiple stand alone models with gmax yet but if anyone has some sceanery tags or can make them i'll add them in, or i'll just use "junk" and rocks and stuff..

very good ideas you have.. i belive i have a cov cruiser but i'm not sure if it works good, i'll see what i can use... i never really thought about a jetpack but i do have one i can use

i have a gmax file that might help. it has a sphere for a planet and another sphere for an atmosphere and there both inside a gigantic box to create space.


also adding drop pods to the ships would be fun

That won't work. Gravity only pulls one direction.

That map is multiplayer and has lots of vehicles for space combat. But mp and sp space combat would be completely different

I'm recreating reach, so will be doing a similar thing:

Seraphs, banshees, phantoms, spirits, a corvette and a capital ship

Pelicans, longswords, stingrays and a UNSC Frigate.

Blarg. Everything is available.

Tusken raid is okay but it's star wars based. I think stingray would be a good replacement. I haven't seen it in-game so now's a good oppurtunity to get it working: http://hce.halomaps.org/index.cfm?fid=4022

the bases should have infrastructure

fusion reactors
armory(s)
controllable ship batteries
hanger(thats a given, possible plural hangers)
doors(if at all possible they should be sealable)
command bridge(most important)
hangers could have plasma windows that could be turn on or off

also if possible there could be a vaccum of space maybe something with intense gravity to simulate it

plasma cannons for covenant

one mac cannon per human ship
many tiny machine gun turrets like anchor nine

and make te cannons controllable

sorry for really long reply guys, still working on the ground itseld.. school not helping much but its slowly coming along.. the asteroids are the hardest part amd the bases are iffy right now. but they are floating

Why not just put some basic hangar like the one in hugeass in either the Pillar of autumn or In amber clad scenery tags, then make a variant of the truth and reconciliation hangar for a covenant capitalship and put it in the scenery tag? Put in a little 'space' sky, a few flyabe vehicles and heavy weapons, maybe some turrets and a MAC cannon (mythos projectile), and you're DONE!

Why did nobody think of that?!

Well, I was genuinely interested in a space map that felt like you were battling. In Space.
But seriously I feel a map with two frigates that gives you a choice between fast-paced close quarters combat inside said frigates and long lenthy exploration and battles outside in the vacuum would be a very popular map. And that was what i was hoping this map would be.
