Hi, I have a nVidia GeForce 9600 GT and all the graphics seems tove good ecept the camoflague effect. I saw another froum and says that back then Halo tested the modern cards they don't seem to support it. When I played Halo on my laptop which is a Intel card ( I thought a Intel card is a going to handle it ) it just works fine. I tried 3D analyser but that doesn't work and Swiftshader but it says you need to install Direct X 9.So is there any other way?

It worked with Dxtweaker.See below how.

does this apply to all nvidia cards or the ones that they tried which were old back then?

on the other thread it says you could trick halo that it is an ATI one with 3d analyser. does that work?

THANK YOU IT WORKED!!!!!

I search dtweaker on Google then extract it . Run it then it didn't work....read the readme file and it said you need Microsoft Framework 1.1. Installed it then Dxtweaker worked. Pointed Dxteaker to Halo.Mouldles to load is the Ideant changer and set the Vendor ID to 4098 which is ATi's ID. Ran it and it Worked!!!

pretty sure you aren't going to be able to use plugins like yelo or even overlays if you've got that running

Which one is "awesome" and which is "boring"? I like the one where you fade away instead of turning glassy.

yelo? I never heard a plugin like that.

What is overlay? I don't think I need this plugin.

Faded one is better!
Even though if the technology behind the Camo was actually bending light, the glassy one would be more realistic.

I don't get why some people think that the one that just fades away is better. Maybe is it harder for people to see the fade?

The glassy effect looks cool (is eye candy) but in Halo CE it's also pretty easy to see, even at a distance. Where as the simple alpha fade effect renders the biped close to invisible with no blending effects that are clearly visible around the edges of the unit. This is why I like the Halo 2,3,Reach camo, it's much better.

Halo 2's? take that back. Have you seen just how obvious camo is in halo 2? it's glassy like halo 1, except reflects a lot more. It hides you about as well as Halo 1's camo does when you're holding the flag.
