Ill be updating the votes every two days until christmas.

My personal pick is halo 3 Odst because well the campaign is epic music is flawless they just did the hole game right I think.

I play for multiplayer, and Halo Reach so far has been the greatest experience for me. I believe the controls feel smoother than all the other halos and the environments in many cases just are outstanding!

Halo: Reach, best multiplayer experience, best campaign experience, just the best halo game.

Halo 3, most fun ever, Reach is horrible.

lol. He might not have put Halo Wars because it's RTS and not FPS.
Or he could've just forgot it.
But I doubt of all the halo games the RTS will be many people's fav.

Halo 3, because it just added a whole ton of new features to the franchise and was damn fun to play. Not to mention the animations for the weapon set is one of the most consistent I've seen.

Halo 2

Halo 3. the halo reach campaign wasn't surprising or intriguing at all to me. Multiplayer is fun, camping corners, however, is a MW2 thing. Forge, however awesome it is, isnt fun. In halo 3 race maps and infection maps where fun, because it was difficult and unique to make cool forge maps, but on reach, anyone can make anything. plus, the last mission of campaign on reach (or the semi final, the one where u are trying to get to the POA) is an awful climax ending mission. We knew, from the start, that everyone was going to die, so reach could fit into the story of halo, so bungie might have done a better job making the whole thing more interesting.

Honestly, i play reach, because there are a few forge maps i find amazing, and swat/living dead matchmaking is fun, but i started playing halo 3 again the other day and it was so much fun. so halo 3 gets my vote.

even now with the newer games released it's still is halo1,2's story was great,3 didn't like it much.i havn't played reach,i don't have and won't buy an xbox,anyway it looks awesome from a graphic side.

okey, maybe those arent just a few, when i start to think about it I can find plenty, but for me halo 2 still gets my vote, I enjoyed it the most.
halo 1 would get my vote if it wouldnt lag so much though

me too , my vote will be for Halo 2 for its history and weaponry also the vehicles like spectre and gauss hog and the accelerators of the banshe wraith and ghost which are mi favorit Vehicles on Halo games but like mattdratt says all the games, except Halo combat evolved (its good but i get bored of playing it so much)

I find people that hate on halo 2 because you play as the arbiter to be ridiculous. Bungie told the story from both sides of the covenant, which was something different. unfortunately, the fanbase is full of people who just want to "kill the aliens," reinforcing the terrible militaristic attitude that's way too common these days

I didn't like Halo 2. The graphics were bad and the weapons felt wrong. I found that most of the guns when u held them, sat higher than the reticule which was wierd. I also found that the addition of dual wield affected the damage of the weapons immensly. When playing i never really felt that i had a good weapon. You always had to have a good combination especially with dual wield. The dual wieldable wepons on their own sucked ass. And their were a whole lot of bad levels in the campaign so not really good game design.

I didn't like halo 2 because i just didn't enjoy the gameplay as much as the other halo titles, and plus it's bad textures didn't help anything.

I actually found the campaign in halo 2 to be much more enjoyable than the other games. they had a crazy variation in environments, good music, and legendary was very satisfying to finally beat. the two-sided story was great, and was a ballsey move. the elites as a race I grew to respect. admittedly, the graphics were pretty bad in some cases. the multiplayer was buggy, laggy and full of profags who wanted to be mlg... still sad the xbox servers went down

Lol. Of all, I think I like this answer the most.

They all had their time, comparing one from another now is almost impossible to really do.
