PS was playing Reach just now and realized that in the mision 'New Alexandria' at the part you enter the night club to shut down the jammer, the bsp is exactly the same as Crater in odst

ok awesome.
The ground needs to be a sandy texture and the buildings just two story high sandstone huts.
The third building along at the start needs to have an interior and an entrance to the inside because you'll be going into that building and down to the street level (possibly just a big hole in the roof and through the top level floor).
The buildings in the sniper alley could be 3 stories tall and maybe a bit damaged (if not, thats ok)
The next building you enter also needs to be two stories tall, same with the adjacent one. Make sure there is a wall on the adjacent buidling forcing the player to exit the rooftop on the right (where the marines are)

Okay cheef, heres some pics What I mean by a two story building:  What i mean by the rooftop with the wall (where u jump down to the marines then secure the hog)  And could you put some of these things on the rooftops for cover?? ok well forget about that then, just add some good bitmaps to all the buildings. Make sure they are good bitmaps for buildings tho. it would suck to see them as just square blocks of sand

A brief idea for the story, this level would be set near the start of the campaign and the dude is trying to get to the real fight in the city centre but he's landed in the outskirts.
The story for the whole campaign, i dunno yet
I thought of a story for the delta halo campaign. Cheef aint gonna like this...
You never find out what happens to Jun (ami I right?) so how about:
The human forces assaulting delta halo find intel referring to a high value prisoner, a spartan. This spartan is Jun and throughout the campaign you are trying to rescue him. Near the end you succeed in rescuing him but he his killed saving the frigate or some shiz

Thanks Dave. For the names I think we should use more military-like names instead of jason and michael if you know what I mean. Heres some pics I drew up of that harbour mission. I haven't got round to putting them into powerpoint yet and putting arrows and descriptions in.  Start at the yellow dot with an odst squad mate then go down the stairs to a squad of marines. Fight round through to the final area which is the base of a large building with stairs that go up around it. Once you clear that area, a cutscene starts and basically the marines say there was a sniper team sent up those stairs then your squadmate tells you to go to the sniping position. Some covvies engage the marines and squad mate says he will go round a different way (or some shiz)  You reach the sniper position (top left corner) and find the dead squad of marines. You see a platoon of covenant blow up one of the civvie transports (marked green). You then use the sniper to take out the platoon of covvies going for the second one then go to the right, down the stairs. Note that the sniper position is elevated and theres about a 20 metre drop to where the covenant platoon is  You go down the stairs and see a ghost firing at something around the corner then a rocket flys past and blows it up. Your squad mate emerges with a rocket launcher. You jump on a mongoose (marked yellow, btw ignore the other yellow splodge) with the squad mate on the back. Drive round into the large area then kill everything in there (ghosts, shade turrets, choppers?). Once everything is dead the blocking shield will deactivate (the purple line) then drive round to the lighter area, which is the entrance to where the platoon was you just sniped Well thats it so far Update on city firefight Since motivation has risen after a scientific breakthrough with the lives script (just about got it working), I have resumed work on the project. I got rid of the massive crane that can be seen in the background because something was up with its lighting so now theres less lag. Gonna use cmt's shotty until i find a better one. Got a better wraith that the ai can actually fire properly (looks really cool), fixed the cutscene, need a ghost with sounds that arent corrupt....and uh thats that Edited by Muscl3r on Apr 15, 2011 at 09:49 PM

I'm giving muscl3r my mongooses with decals for this project (you might have seen them in the slappy updates thread) when done.Muscl3r wanted a better mongoose earlier so I made one :D

I believe Halo can render like 15 k polies without needing portals. If 6k is already invested in JUST the ground that leaves little room for detailed buildings etc.

Just figured i'd say something, no point in not, right?

Are you really even asking that question? Stamina has the same exact function as shields, and halo 1 already has a health system.
Just remove the shield shader from the biped, change the shield drain and low\empty sounds and done.

I've come up with some character names
Mike, Sarge, Jack and Vance (need one more)
Once we have the fifth we can start assigning personalities to them
Sarge is the squad leader btw
Order of missions:
1. --- 2. outskirts mission 3. harbour mission 4. --- 5. --- 6. --- 7. --- 8. --- 9. --- 10. ---
As you can see, we also need more ideas for missions. We must be creative while thinking of these missions to make our campaign creative. Also keep in mind that there should be a variety of different combat for example, hog missions, tank missions, banshee missions, sniper missions, ground combat etc
please anyone, put forward some ideas

Yeah halo 3 jackal and btw I can do animations if you want.I recently made an animation for a halo 3 machine-gun turret but the collision screwed up so it's not ingame.you guys can use it if some how you can get the collision To work
