Man our biggest fail are shaders lol, don't u think we need a shader maker man for our team? Just get shaders of some odst maps if protected them beg on ur knees to the creators
Btw cortana said she ain't a map maker sooo yeh... Not saying mc is any smarter lol

as for the hud if we can't get our own i waas thinking of getting a halo 3 one and just making it the right colour. Has anyone got an odst hud better than dp444's?

Looks like we're stuck with dp444's until we get/make a better one. Would it be possible to put a compass on the hud??

The compass has to be added in the first-person model. It needs a bitmap like the AR compass.

I'll guide you guys on this a bit:
If you're making collision for something like a custom/ripped banshee, import the halo 1 version's gbxmodel without the nodes and markers. The halo 1 models are basically already sealed an are probably close enough.
Remember for collision:
Link everything up to the right nodes and stuff. You need the same nodes as the model.
You have to apply a material, and make sure all the faces have an ID. Doesn't matter what it looks like at all, because collision is invisible, but tool needs it to be textured.
Bipeds don't used skinned geometry. They use boxes over every limb. Just copy your bones, make them thick, convert the thick copies to editable mesh and texture them. Link up to the original bones, rename the textured copies, and you should have adequate biped collision.
Use different materials for different damages. Set these up in the collision tag.

cyborxperson? Could u make a odst hud???? No motion tracker and i dunno if the compass is possible or not (hard to understand) but if it is possible could u put that on???

Also does anyone have an automag hud?? Doesn't matter if its the worng colour

well i had an idea for the last mission of the new mombassa campaign idea idea thingy. At the end you have to get to an lz to escape an area of the city being targetted from orbit you get to the roof of a building and have to hold position until the evac bird arrives. The lz is too hot so you have to jump over some roof tops then you jump to the falcon (like in the mission on reach) but you miss sadly. Then u fall to the ground below and u tell the falcon to get out of there and the area starts to get bombarded then u do an epic mongoose/warthog run to escape the city.

Why the area is being bombarded?

Well i dunno yet...its only an idea

Well. Today i decided to do some work on city firefight. It is now 100 percent better than before

changes since v1:

Waves have been rearranged to be like an odst firefight

kick ass odst fp added

old h3 ar replaced with newer h3 assault rifle

Reach dialogue added

Halo 2 and Reach music added

Buggers movement speed increased

buggers health decreased

buggers are now more fun to kill

turrets added to map

smg ammo fixed

some other stuff


Things that still need to be changed/fixed:

Need to give odst biped a shield/stamina

no reticule when zooming with automag

gay v1 brutes need to be changed for v2 brutes

change cmt ai for h2 and h3 ai

hud messages

change one reach sound file

lower smg effectiveness on jackals

really need phantoms

might put in a few vehicle waves

change biped when new biped is fixed

give brutes and grunts anims for fuel rod

give brutes anims for grav hammer

2d fences

command lists and some other stuff

U know u can get a pretty good phantom form the MAD map but since u got a team here ask the ppl who can moddel to edit phantom models and get some one to make shaders hello didn't u realize u had a team here??
Btw I hope I didn't fry the motherboard when I blew up the power supply. And what's an li or lz or whatever it is

I am currently working on a model for a school project. It's kinda like New Mombasa, but a different city. I currently working on the city streets, but then i will work up from there. I have not figured out a name for the city yet, but it is accessible by ocean on one side, but on the other side of the city will be a vast desert. The city has protective walls that surround it on the desert side (from the harsh sands and sandstorms. But on the ocean side, there will be docks and harbors. I might need some help with the model. I have found reference pictures that were drawn by a Bungie employee, and will use some of those pictures as a basses for what the buildings of the city will look like. Like i said, its a WIP, but i am hoping to get it done soon. I will soon be posting pictures and what it looks like. Depending on how much time i have on my hands (with school getting back in and more homework occurring).

I will keep you all updated!

rub3n. An lz is a landing zone. We have a phantom being...made. I was just saying it really needs the phantom and i also need custom animations therefore using the phantom from MAD just stupid.

This city sounds cool. Can't wait to get my hands on it

I am thinking more like the New Mombasa we know from Halo 3 ODST.....and not Halo 2. And i also think the city sounds cool. I am hoping that it comes out just s good as i imagine it. Like i said before....I will be posting pictures once more of it gets off the ground (literally). Wish me luck! :)

Switched what I shouldn't of switched and then turned the power on and it made a big bang an started smoking, gonna get it to repairs, I really hope it didn't fry the motherboard
Btw that health pack looks good ass, the survival pack is pretty cool 2. Did u add the headcrabs in city firefight?

I have a kind of stupid but, perhaps an idea that could be considered. You know the Medkit Dispenser device_control?

Well, theoretically, you could take the original health pack and just change the model and collision to the disepenser one and you would pick up the dispenser and it would disappear like in ODST, except that it's really big, so it would like kind of stupid if it just disappeared, but that is pretty ODST like so... just giving ideas, ODSTs are cool.

Sad. Give me a scenario and ill fix like all of it. Also when is the phantom coming MUSTER CHIEF. Also i dont know how import the phantom and map. Or export the animation. Need help on that. Also ppl should use steam and Xfire. Steam is what u use to get games and all new game use this for matchmaking. There counterstrike and everything it awesome. So much cheaper then in store too.
