Working on it. It requires scripts.

I'm pretty sure that the original Halo UI background has a sliding texture, and doesn't actually animate.

The last time I heard, the concept of UI maps are basically maps. Name a map UI and the game will play that one in startup. Course, since that map will serve to initiate other maps and options, game creators do not set it up so you can walk around. I thought I will be the one that will make the first UI map that lets you move but COD Black-Ops had already done that .

Course, is it the same for Halo or did you guys just say that without even testing it out or tried studying one?

Why would it require Scripts? if the scenery had animations, it shouldn't have a problem. For those of you who have played Halo: FTW2 you may have seen flying vehicles in some of there maps, that should be able to be done in UI.

You're wrong, ui maps have to be specially made as mainmenu maps.

You're right, but I wouldn't put vehicles in a ui map. Best to make them animated scenery.

The Ring isn't animated. it's a camera.

Then why doesn't the sky move?

Last I checked it was a scrolling texture on the ring. As for the pelicans in FTW, I'm pretty sure those were animated scenery rather than vehicles.

Animations don't work in UI. Sliding textures do. The ring isn't animated, the texture on it just slides.

It's still animated scenery. Isn't it? Sliding textures sounds like animated scenery to me.

Nope. There is no model_animations file. It's a shader property. The model itself does not move at all.

Its in the "2d texture animation section" of a shader.

If you set up Scenery tagging correctly, you can make it look as if it is vehicles moving.

There is a camera that goes around and yes the sky moves. The camera just goes around the halo.

Dude, why not just try it yourself rather than asking us all the questions and waste time for trial and error? Who knows? It could actually work, let us know if you test it.
