Is it possible to get tags from h2 campaign and convert them to work in halo ce? Like I am working on a SP map but I want Tartarus in it (White brute with mohawk and gravity hammer), so how could I get him or other guys like Regret?

You can extract the model through some halo 2 model extraction program (where to obtain this, I shall not disclose, because I myself do not have one). Then, you'd have to rig it and either use custom animations, or rig it to existing animations.

Doesn't work that way. You'd have to use entity or ADI, with model exporters to export to .obj files. From there, you can import into max, and rig it. Then export to a .jms, compile with the model command in tool, and you're set.

You can't rip bsp's from halo 2 vista maps, you cant rip anything from pc version of halo 2.
Graveming lets you view the tags, and even replicate with h2guerilla, but it doesnt let you rip any of those tags. there just are no tools to do that.

now, you can rip bsp's and models from halo 2 xbox maps. as gamma already said, you need entity or ADI. if you are serious about ripping halo 2 models, then you should start learning to use these two programs.

but I think it would be easier and faster if you would just use tags already on this site.

and that brute. hm, maybe get permission from author to change texture of the v2 brute on this site.

also, you may find that just recreating models yourself might be less messy than trying to get all of those tools to work correctly.

Hello, I got entity and got the model of regret, and I am texturing. But is the model already set where I just need to find the places of each bitmap, or do I have to edit the bitmaps in the Unwrap UVW section? I don't know much about modeling. And the reason I say this is the golden headdress (that was what the texture was called) and the helmet thing look a little different then the one in the cutscene.

EDIT: Ok I found out that it is how it's supposed be, I just had to render it then it look right. Also will the biped or whatever I get bitmaps look same in game as in rendering?
