Well akward title aside.
I was wondering if there was a way to implement the Halo reach assasinations into CE. I know that the player can "ride" another biped. I don't know much about this so I was wondering if there was a way to cause the players "entry" animation to be your custom assasination. Can you set it up to cause the biped's death after the animation is over?
If you know something that will work or think will work post it hear. I'd be happy to animate them and see if it will work.

I think it would be possible on single player with good scripting, you could definitely "ride" bipeds but yea it wil require animations. So techinically, it is possible. But Im not completely sure, wait for someone more experienced to comment

I've experimented with riding bipeds when I tried to make Blind Wolves, but all I tried was adding a seat to a biped with the warthog driver label, and that didn't really work.

I doubt anybody's going to take the time to properly animate every single variant of enemy interacting with the chief in an assassination animation.

i just figure make the whole animation and when you melee near a person the then the camera scrolls out. like with jump animations i guess, make like 3 assassination animations and it'll do one of those 3 randomly.
I assume all you need to do it set the camera point above you and make a frame for player two. Animate the scene around that frame and your all set?

I was assuming that it would only work for campaign for this reason. Is there some way to put a node in the biped's back that would detect from a certain area, similar to the way vehicle seats detect when you're near them?

So basically just somewhat similar to the vehcile hijack attempts in haloce except we are dealing with a biped now. Once the player is in the seat the animation needs tobe triggered rite?

Okay so the AI must be identified as a vehicle in the script so that we can "ride" on it, but what if we got on an elite and it randomly barrel rolled? Would the player do a barrel roll with the elite? Or would he be thrown away just like when a vehicle gets flipped? This question has been on my mind for several weeks now.

The Elite would be a biped, so it wouldn't have vehicle physics meaning it would never flip over like a vehicle.

Don't know crap about scripting. So... anyways. Make a script that makes the AI active until you press a button to ride. Then the AI will get deactivated.

There is a command for object_can_see_object. Make is so if the enemy cannot see the player, and the player melees, and the ai dies, quickly attach a biped to the enemy, destroy-effect the enemy, make the player ride the biped. Easy.
