i was hoping for some way to make explosions (like the mythos) force air vehicles around in mid-air? i thought it would look so much better and make for more interesting gameplay to have a miss still affect the target(s)

coupled with asteroids/debris on a space map, with collision damage on, this would make missing still effective somewhat (but not ridiculously so, there won't be that much debris to hit)

Yes, if you are caught in an explosion radius during flight in an air vehicle, it will affect your trajectory.
That said, I think it is possible to create a scripted explosion with no dmage (or something) that has a very high radius, in order to ensure that it affects the player (If this is for single player).

but i've been shot at by the mythos in a pelican, directly hit, and there is no noticeable change, it doesnt flip me around or anything, not even slightly. i want it to be noticable, so do i just have to tweak values?

I'd rather go without than take what you'd bring.

Maybe the mass of the pelican is high enough that a mythos shot doesn't affect it?
Because if you're in anything as light as a scorpion tank and get hit by the mythos cannon, both you and the tank will hit high orbit.

i'd like them to spin about a bit, they'd auto-righten themselves soon enough, but it would disorient them a bit so they had to get their bearings again. the key idea of this was to make a disruption weapon to one or two of the unarmed vehicles (bumblebee in particular) so they could spin you about, and use the thrusters to flee the battle (so you can't just get easy kills, and would make the bumblebee a viable option for troop support, keeping in mind the thrusters will be pretty powerful, but mixed with collision damage can be risky in a high-speed crash)

I believe the banshees are affected, so duplicate their appropriate settings to other air vehicles.

yes it does. if you shoot something like a sparrowhawk or a jet with explosives, it moves, but if you shoot a pelican or longsword, it doesnt move. at all.

im aware of that. they are human plane, human jeep, human tank, human boat, alien scout, alien fighter, and turret. the vehicle type has nothing to do with that. read my above statement. the jet is an alien fighter and the sparrowhawk is a human plane. and explosions move it, even in air. the pelican is a human plane, but that doesnt move from explosions. also, if a vehicle has just spawned in, depending on the wakes physics checkbox, it may not move

could it be something like a collision field? i've noticed that all the vanilla vehicles get blown about, while all of the custom vehicles dont (i think with the exception of the Spectre so far, haven't tried recently with the mythos)
