Tool is ALWAYS right.
Import the .wrl file it creates in your halo ce root directory, and it will show you the errors you need to fix.

Dont use stl check, it fails.
Use the border select tool to find open edges.

With an open edge error, 1st you should always select all verts and weld at 0.01

I wouldn't do 0.01, I would do 0.1.
Also, the border select tool will not find everything. It's best to check the .wrl if you still get errors.

If you weld at 0.1 you can sometimes weld something that you dont want to.
Border select does find all open edges, but you should import the .wrl
