I had gotten a new laptop for Christmas last year and recently I found my halo cd and key so of course I install it and halo custom edition well I didn't know a cd key could only be use once so i buy a new one, turns out the person just used a generator so i can't use it either. Is there a way I could bypass this because I was in a clan

There is no legal way to bypass this, you need to take it up with the person you purchased the key from.

Bypassing a CD key is ILLEGAL.
Sorry dude, but my only advice for you is that you either try again, or buy another copy of Halo PC.
It's for your own good. :(

If you have a CD key that just happens to be invalid , there are several possible reasons. 1. You have pirated the game , and thus , it is invalid. 2. You have let your key become public knowledge , and thus , you have been exceptionally stupid in doing so. 3. Someone has taken a look at your CD key and used it. 4. Someone has guessed your CD key and used it. The last option is highly unlikely , as there are more possible permutations of the key than there are stars in the known universe. If the said person guessed so well , he should have bought a lottery ticket and won himself some cash to purchase the game. If you are as innocent as you claim , you have become a victim of option 2 or 3. You only have yourself to blame. Please buy another game from a store. Thank you.

Quote: --- Original message by: IcePhoenix btw a "friend of mine" apparently "got" his H2v's CD key by "writing down" the key off a "case" that was "open" in the "store" and then downloading h2v's files seperately. but that's just "exceptionally bad store keeping". ftfy
