so I've noticed ce and pc are not as....graphically gifted as the original xbox and xbox 360 versions of halo 1. so, I was wondering if someone tried to make halo as awesome looking as the xbox version, which is basically all in the bitmaps I'd think, on a scale of one to ten how hard would you say it'd be to improve and then perhaps make it exceed xbox's graphics slightly?

11 Nah, but it depends on your level of expertise, for example, for me, it'd be harder since I know next to nothing about bitmaps/shaders and can't texture to save my life, but for someone who's really good with shaders, it'd probably be easier. Edited by UnevenElefant5 on Aug 29, 2010 at 12:09 AM

For some stuff, easy, because it's a matter of ripping the multipurpose map. Other stuff, hard because Halo PC doesn't offer the same shader/bitmap options. For example, you can rip the Xbox assault rifle multipurpose to make it look the way it was supposed, but I believe the Jackal shield uses a shader not available in HPC.
