its not loading it has sat there for twenty minutes.. i have snowgrove.map,loc.map,sounds.map,bitmaps.map,and ui.map but it will not load at all...

and all the standard maps? If you don't have all them it will not load.

i doubt its a problem with the pc im running halo on a netbook XD, but i'm not sure i had this problem once before all i had to do was uninstall it and it worked again, so i'm not sure what's going on with yours.

Hydro has played pc alot of times, so it mustve quit working just recently. try reinstalling it.

If the game worked before then it was something you changed either with the game or the PC. I have seen some maps cause Halo CE to not load without exceptioning, however we don't host them. Remove all custom maps (leave the default ones) and see if it loads. If it does put half of them back and see it is loads if not then remove half, if it does then restore half of the remaining until you find the map that is causing it.

If you have messed with the defaults files then I would suggest you copy your custom maps to another folder, uninstall the game then re-install.

If you re-installed and tried the game with ONLY the default maps and it doesn’t work then the most likely culprit could be your video driver, assuming you don't have some other issue like spyware or a virus then check the anti-aliasing settings to be sure they are set to off or application controlled if there is a game specific setting be sure it is for haloce.exe and not for halo.exe.

What did you change, load or install or remove between he time the game worked and when it didn’t?

Try that one system restore feature, where you can roll back time.

dennis some maps on this sight dont load halo every now and then like if i download snowgrove sometimes it wont load halo but..


to all those people saying my pc is broke well its not i play halo every day. with 2005 graphics so i can run it on high...

and yes I am active and i do stuff everyday... if my pc is so old why can i run 3ds max with no problem and no lag?? derp pakar

also would a 2 gig data folder affect it?

i no his comp cant be it... cause i run it on high when i had a nvidia geforce mx 440 graphics card 1.7ghz proccessor (yes my comp sucks) stuff like that mayb u should wait a week and see if it works its wat i always do XD


so far it seemed to have worked on 2 games outa 10
