I was bored so I was thinking of a new animation. I do not know how to put animations in game so I leave it to you guys to take my idea if u like it.
Could I or any body else set up a script and animation to were if your health is at 25% that you go on your knees and start crawling like in GOW 2 and the health person goes near you and presses a button and heals you up to 50% health.
If not in multilayer than put it in campaign if it don't sync right on the net cause it would be funny seeing an elite or grunt crawl for help.
Oh and I got an other idea for that HEV. People keep saying that it bounce a lot when it is landing so in stead of making it a vehicle make it a the seat a vehicle and the pod a lift. The seat will be attached to the pod and when you set up a script to do some thing spasefic like going in to the seat, the pod launches and dose its animation to that ground.
That's all I came up with and I may try learning to get my animations in game but I may need help with the scripts if I do this.

Crawling is probably not possible. It's not possible to have a teammate come over and like "Press E to heal" thing, but they could drop a health pack on you. It probably won't sync online, and in campaign you'd have to make a special "medic" marine with a "gun" that shoots healthpacks and script him to move to you (dunno if there is a command to make AI go to players) whenever you go to a certain amount of health left. You'd have to make a medic marine for every marine encounter as well, and he would have to be his own encounter I believe, or at least just a seperate squad. Problem is, the command for player health is either -1, 0 or 1. (1=fully alive, 0=dead, -1=nonexistant) so that probably won't work. The marine would have to be an enemy also, that way he shoots you, and drops a healthpack which would look wierd, having an enemy marine.
Drop pod is totally possible. Won't sync online though, elevators are device_machines and halo's netcode doesn't transfer data regarding their position over the netcode.

Make the medic on a different team. The medic attacks/melees with heathpacks. And make sure that the real marine team is blind to the medic. Cant's you just biped squish for the HEV sync? The pod is either down or up. Edited by SlappyThePirate on Aug 7, 2010 at 01:02 PM

okay i am now going to learn scripting. Note: player will not crawl but enemies will. And enemies will panic in more elaborate animation as well. And when player presses random button they will dance. The animation for all this plus scripting will take awhile, animation is easy for me but scripting is a whole new story.

Tip for you: use player action test reset and other player action test commands to determine which button the player's hitting. Don't know if this syncs online though.
