Do you mean that killing them counts toward winning a Slayer or Team Slayer game? Or do they just follow if it's FFA or Teams? Or are they just smarter, as in they move side to side/jump to avoid fire, or they nadespam?

not with more then u no. ai will not sync online. pretty much u would be shooting the ai right in the face, but for someone else it be 25 or so feet away shooting something completely different. dennis will probably say something about the ai or w/e.

i think the only succesful one i ever tried was a map called something like flood _______ and their were like 3 parts to it, it was fun plus it synced during online play, even though part 3 was hella laggy

it didnt sync. may have seemed that way, and sicne its flood all ove rthe place really doesnt seem obvious. but if u had one ai running he be in two diferent locations for each person. soooo amny threads have been started about it, it cant be done wihtout source code which we will never get. the network code for halo doestn allow it period. u can try to fake it but it has mixed results./

because bungie didn't think we would want AI in mp.
and some mac halo modders have actually got a working way of syncing AI.
Don't spaz over the fact i mentioned Mac. get over it.

Halo PC was ported from the Xbox which is server side deterministic where as CS, HL and UT were client side deterministic. The bandwidth required for server side determinism is much higher than client side and with AI was way more than the 56Kb/s that was the standard when the game was developed. The Xbox would work over the system link because it was essentially a lan but the bandwidth required to sync AI was way over the 56K limit so it was not included because if it had been then most people would not have been able to play the game on-line because cable and DSL was less that 2% penetration and most people were still using 56K modems.

They are not in this map, like many things in those pictures.
