You are doing it wrong. We are transferring over 2,000 files a day to other users so logic dictates that there is nothing wrong with our servers. Did you run the connection test as instructed? Did you uncheck the "use Passive mode" in the advanced tab of Internet explorer? Did you open port 21 on your firewall? Did you tell your Internet security program to allow access to port 21? In 99.9% of the cases it is your firewall or Internet security program blocking the file transfer on port 21. There is nothing wrong with the servers.

You can't. The problem is NOT firefox the problem is either your windows firewall or your anti-virus/internet security program is not allowing firefox access to port 21.
