I'm re-designing the map I was working on, and I'm putting far more time into it.

I've been designing the Landing Pad from ODST's NMPD HQ and Windward levels.
I don't currently own the game, so I used video and image references to work on the pad.
(Pelican model belongs to Martyn Lee Ball.)

So far, here's the progress:

The ramp and its connection to the pad


The Pelican with working wheel and door functions (Chief in the picture for size reference)


The Pelican is able to land on the platform


The pad, altogether


A top full view of the pad


The lights on the platform



So...lemme know what you think!

I like it, though it seems a little pointless without a map to put it on :P

Thanks. I'm currently re-designing the map I had for it. Though I do know what you mean. I'm just making the scenery and buildings before I work on the map itself, so I know how to design and texture it.

You've got some nasty looking triangles on and around the stairs area, but besides that it looks decent.

Yeah, I'm trying to fix all of the issues with it. It's still a WIP, so the finished product will be better.

I'm planning on having it be part of the buildings, but I suppose it could also be a piece of scenery.

i really dont like those hoge connectors on teh railings, if u could shirnk their radius a tad be cool. thats the only thing i dont like.

For the railings, I suggest that you use 4 sided boxes/cylinders, instead of 8+ sided cylinders, to save on triangles. Considering that you have so many there.

I edited the entire railing system. I made the pipes thinner, and gave them less sides. I also sized down the pipe connectors.


This what you were talking about?

No intent to show off, if you want the model for refrences, Xfire me [MeleeLite] and I'll send you it.

This is symmetryified. The one I'd send is only half, like form New Mombasa Police Department, this is just the only online pic, and my internet is to slow to upload a new one, atm
