When I open my game, in the menu the quit option doesn't appear, some pictures don't appear, and I can't see the Mouse.
Any Ideas?

•run as administrator
•right click, properties, compatability tab, check the box that says disable visual themes (and if that doesnt work also check the disable desktop composition box)

Download HCE from this site , as well as the patch. If the same error occurs , try running in compatibility mode.

Halo will never let you quit. You shall be forever doomed to play halo for the rest of your natural life. Halo has sucked you into it's void never to be seen again.

or reinstall or turn off your pc

This looks like it is missing a bitmap from a corrupt bitmap.map file or it is unable to read the file or else you have a video driver issue. Since you have already re-installed try right-clicking on the Halo game icon and selecting "run as administrator" If that solves the issue then you will need to either do that all the time or change the security settings for the C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Games\Halo Custom Edition or C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Halo Custom Edition folder depending on which version, 64bit or 32bit, your operating system is.

Other than that it could be your video driver. Update the video driver to the manufacturer's latest version then be sure to set the anti-aliasing setting to be either off or application controlled in the driver settings panel becasue most vista and Win7 drivers default to on.

Vista drivers typically have the default setting for AA as on. How you Disable it depends on the driver and video card. As a starting point right click on the desktop and select personalize > display settings > advanced settings each driver is different after that.

That usually happens when you try to run in DirectX 7 mode in Vista (-useFF in launcher.) You probably need to reinstall video drivers or might have a very old graphics card.

you need to open the Nvidia panel.

right click on desktop > personalise > display settings > advanced settings > Nvidia tab > Start Nvidia Control panel > 3d Settings > manage 3d settings > global settings tab > Base profile > then set the Antiliasing mode to "application-controlled"

OK I see the problem now. You are using Microsoft's default video drivers and not the manufacturers. You need to go to Nvidia.com and download and install the manufacturer’s video drivers.

Go to http://www.nvidia.com click on the "Download Drivers" link and enter your video card information download the driver and install it. You will need administrative privileges to install the driver. What you are currently using is a driver written by Microsoft and not Nvidia the card manufacture. The Nvidia drivers will be superior that anything Microsoft will have.

Nvidia dosn't provide a vista driver download. Possibly because it's an older card. If you can you should probably upgrade.

Operating Systems Supported- Windows 98/ME/NT 4.0/2000/XP
