My hud messages won't compile.I type tool hud-messages levels\sciophobia\Sciophobia_Firefight and tool pops up but a second later it closes. I can't remember but I think you need to put the hud messages' directory and if I'm wrong download p0lar_bear or Polamme's SP tutorials.

As I said the last time this error came up, this should be stickied.
The reason why you get a parsing error, is because you had Sapien open when compiling the HUD messages.
Solution? Close Sapien, and recompile the HUD messages. Only open Sapien once it is complete.

This is your error, no? That's the proper solution. Have you tried recompiling the HUD messages with everything closed, and then booting Sapien to compile scripts?

I had this once, so I'll explain how I fixed it. Make sure that in your script it names a REAL hud message. I had obj1 in my script, but a typo led to it being compiled as obf1.
