i wanna have a scenery file that wth an opacity map. Ive already put it in the alpha. but when i use a .shader_environment, nothing is seethrough, and when i use a .transparent_shader_chicago, the part i want to be able to see is still semi transparent. how do i make my scenery file the way i want it?

i think a shader_model is what you need. Or maybe a shader_transparent_generic

You want shader_model's for scenery, vehicles, bipeds, devices, basically anything that's not the BSP or some other unique material (ex. glass, plasma shields, sky, etc)
