if you know how to script, use this:

(script continuous banname
(begin
(sv_ban banname)
(sleep 1)
)
)

it constantly checks the map for the banname, just replace it with whatever you want, put in your map, and there you go. this only works on your own maps you make, just so you know

make it kick them, not ban them.

Agreed. Automated banning is pretty bad considering anybody can have the name you're banning. The least you can do is make it kick repeatedly. Since it's a continuous script, they'll be instantly kicked each time they join, so it's just as good as a ban without the unnecessary harshness.

Try putting the name between "quotes." sv_ban "annoyingplayer"

Dude not New_001 there are some cool people out there that use that name. Some people arnt that smart enought to know how to change there name but there still skilled players. And come on dude a Vehicle is just one funny name. A (insert noun or famous person here) is always a good laugh.

As I alwais do, just try anything related with: Ban, Kick, Boot...

Open the console command, tape F1, ESCAPE or Tab. You should be able to see a whole suggestion of commands. Then tape something you think that could kick the guy of the game then tape the name with a space after the comand. If you want to ban/boot/kick me as an exemple, tape (sv_kick Master FL) or (sv_kick Master_FL)

Anyway my best feedback is to try anything you can think of. Then when you see that the guy as quitted the game, voilą!

If the guy's name is separated by a name, you need to surround the entire name with quotations, else the second part of the name would be considered as a separate parameter.

It does not ban just the name, it only bans the player's serial.
