Can anyone tell me how to do this? I have some stuff I want to test out but need a good AI map for it.

Use 3D firing positions for the actors involved. In the weapon for the banshee, under actor firing parameters, specify the actor variant in the vehicles\banshee\banshee folder.

lol you could of just asked me on xfire..

Basically, your going to need to place some banshees somewhere your on map. Make the box that says "not placed: Automatically" checked, and give each banshee a name (needs to different for each)

Next make an encounter of 2 or 3 elites. Make there encounter be not initially created.
In the squad make sure you set the number of guys to spawn, and there actor variants.
(^^ should be only 1 guy per squad)
Set starting positions
Add 3-D firing positions (Or just regular ones idk, )

open note pad and type:

(Script startup banshee_fight
(ai_place "your encounter name here"
(load_magic_vehicle "banshee name" driver (ai_actors "encounter name"/"squad name")
)

basically repeat the load_magic_vehicle for each banshee you add
(make sure to make a squad for every banshee driver!)

then just save the script in the levels script folder and compile.

You want to use 3D firing positions, and actually manually elevate them, such that the banshees won't just skim the ground, and will actually fly decently.

Don't Banshees need Firing positions though?

You add them for the actor variant that pilots them.
