I am trying to make a map for halo ce, and in the part for the structure i got this error.

C:\Users\Halo ce\Desktop\halo\Halo Custom Edition>tool structure levels\test\the
_great_hill the_great_hill
Couldn't read map file './toolbeta.map'
building intermediate geometry...
building collision geometry...
reducing collision geometry...
building collision bsp...
### ERROR couldn't build bsp because of overlapping surfaces (orange).
### ERROR couldn't build bsp2d.
### ERROR couldn't build leaf.
### ERROR failed to import collision bsp.

How can i fix this? STL Check didn't find anything.
(Im Using 3ds Max 8)

import the .wrl into 3ds

uncheck the 3 boxes, and fix the overlapping faces of your model (where the orange faces are showing you)

sometimes they are hard to locate. you can hid your model (hide selected in edit mesh) and then select the error objects. then you'll have to remember where they are and turn the model back on to fix them.

Right-click the model, go to properties, and find the see-through option... works great for finding my .wrl errors.

any way to distinguish z-buffers from coplanars? red error is red.
