k this has never happened before. i modeled a BSP for my level, bitmaps and shaders and everything are the same as i always do them, i compiled the scenario, added a sky in guerilla, opened it in sapien, ran radiosity, and then when i save the radiosity, my map is... inside out?? its the same as what you see when you flip the normals in an older version of 3ds max... oh and dont worry those are very rough textures on the model in max :P in sapien looking up at the underside of the map in sapien looking down from the opposite side as the one in max

1) in 3ds the map models upside down so delete the frame snap rotate. and rotate it to 180. delete it out of ce before recompile. then recompile

Whenever I have this problem, I just flip the map. Not sure what causes it, but I haven't had it in awhile.

Yeah, don't use max 9, and if you have to, convert to editable mesh before exporting. If it still happens flip the entire map and you should be good to go.

1) thats 3ds Max 2010 2) is that the problem?? does it have to be editable mesh? cuz i made it in editable poly... but ive definately compiled things from editable poly before...
Edit: k i tried flipping the normals but that just stops tool sapien from running radiosity, i actually made a small test map doing everything the same as with the messed up one and it worked, i even used the same bitmaps and shaders. I've tried getting rid of the materials, ID's, smooth groups. UV maps and redoing all of them and it still doesn't work. does anyone know of anything else i can try or maybe something i could be doing that tool or sapien might not like??
