How do I add the Blitzkrieg to 3ds on Windows 7 Home Premium?
When I installed 3ds Max 8, it automatically went into my "Program Files (x86)" folder, unlike on XP, it would go onto "Program Files". So now I added Blitzkrieg in the same manner as I had with Windows XP (except for the x86 factor): I put the Blitzkrieg.dle on the C:\Program Files (x86)\Autodesk\3dsMax8\plugins folder, and I put the 4 dlls on the C:\Windows\System32 folder
I get this error upon booting up 3ds:
DLL failed to initialize. Error code:126 - The specified module could not be found.
After 3ds is up, Blitzkrieg does not appear on the export options.

That means all of the DLL's were not placed. Also use this Blitzkrieg, the one included with the HEK only works with MAX 5 and 6. While this one supports 5, 6, 7, and 8. http://hce.halomaps.org/index.cfm?fid=1639Also, place in each DLL to the system32 folder 1 at a time.

When I installed 3ds Max 8, it automatically went into my "Program Files (x86)" folder. your forgetting to state the 64 bit in your windows version... Anyways, from everything ive tried, it doesnt work on either vista or 7 in 64 bit (although it does with on vista and 7 32 bit, cause my laptop can still use it fine) You can use virtual machines if you wana use it still, but I have found it to much of a hassel.. I just go with bluestreak on my desktop.

im sure it does not work on 64. bit but i know it works 32 bit. mabye if you still have your old windows disk like Xp or vista. But I use VirtualBox --> http://www.virtualbox.org/ this program allows you to install up to 30 OS on your computer and you can run programs that work with older OS if they are installed. if you still have your old OS disks virtual box allows you to install them all in one folder which you can delete anytime. but it runs the OS in a window just like a internet explorer page and you can press x and it will go away. its made bescaue some people do work on other OS but never have time to switch computers, Plus it will be super fast becasue ur using 64 bit. have a read around on that site. This IS most likey you Only chance for 64 bit. I use this program on 32 bit vista for school I install Linux and mac Go try it. Edit: Oh and its FREE Edited by theironpaw on Dec 31, 2009 at 07:49 PM

have a read around on that site. This IS most likey you Only chance for 64 bit. I use this program on 32 bit vista for school I install Linux and mac you can have as many OS as you want, even if it limits the amount listed at 30, you could have virtual HDs you can swap out. it can install from ISO files too, and it doesnt use folders, it uses .VDI files, and it doesnt always run as just a window; Virtual Box has integration mode where it just tosses the task bars for the OS on and has the windows mixed with your own. him having 64 bit wont effect the OS's ran in it, what will effect it is how much ram he limits it at, and his processor and how many of the processors he passes onto the client machine. there are other virtual machines, and he can still use bluestreak in 64 bit too (which is far easier. I know since back when it wouldnt work on this thing when I got it, I used virtual box for that for a week before giving up and going to bluestreak) Anyways, the big issue with virtual box is that on all the computers ive used it on, the sharing folders have never worked (it is ment to be able to share directly between your acual OS and the one its running. it doesnt work for me) and the USBs you have to try and install for a while before they show up in the emulated OS, then every time you wana copy something you have to tell it to instead attach the USB to the machine (not that much effort, just a drop box, but it does get anoying if you do it alot)

Use blue streaks script. It works for all max versions. I use 7 as well, and it works fine.

yes my mistake. there is no limit in the amount of OS you can install. I just put a number because... really who will have 30 OS installed?
I'm using vista 32 bot and sharing is completely fine, and windows 7 is much better so you would be fine Edited by theironpaw on Jan 11, 2010 at 04:39 PM
