I've been wanting to mod some guns to be a little more realistic by having them more affected by gravity, and I was wondering if there is a way to do a rangefinder linked in with an alternate trigger for the weapon and sends the data back to the user. Or does Halo's game engine not support that?

It is possible to have them affected by gravity, just modify the gravity scales in the projectile tags.
And, I am pretty sure a rangefinder isnt possible.

A bullet travels to fast to be affected by gravity, and plasma isn't affected by it at all...

not sure if want.

wrong, its just because Bungie set the scale to to 1, so that it stays straight.

A bullet does not travel to fast to be affected be gravity. A bullet travels to fast to be noticeably affected by gravity.

Here we go, people start acting smart and think they know loads about how weapons and physics work.

euh...a fuel rod gun actually has a projectile, which has a volume, which has a certain weight, which is, in fact, affected by the gravity.

So you're saying a bullet isn't a projectile?

If by range finder, you mean displaying the distance to the target, then it's possible, by tweaking the weapon HUD interface.

There's no point in the range finder , halo cant simulate real life sniping , where you have to guage windspeed , distance , hundreds of other factors. If you were sniping in real life , and used a sniper rifle as if it were halo , you would either get killed or be fired for terrible shooting.
