So I've been learning how to do stuff with 3ds max for awhile in one of my classes and I read the HEK a few times so I can understand exactly what I'm suppose to do. But are there any other neccesary tools that I should have besides the HEK?

Actually, as far as BSP's, I like the ghosts .jms exporter. It seems to run the fastest on my computer. Also, do you have a good bitmap editing tool? If not, Gimp is free and fairly easy to use. Unless you want to actually pay some money and get photoshop, which I would recommend because I find it better than Gimp by far!

I find the it to be a little more user friendly. The layers palette and features seem to be easier to access for me. Kinda like I can't work with maya or any form of maya why? don't have a clue, just get frustrated with it.. autodesk 3ds, gmax and the like I have no problem's. Guess it comes down to user prefrence. I think most ulead products run around 50 to 150? not for sure but you can take the link and check out there stuff. I think my bro got the ulead 10 from limewire. its been a year or two so can't remeber. you can check out ulead 12 and down the trial. http://ulead-photoimpact.en.softonic.com/ Give it a shot.
