Shall we play a game?

something odd just happened,
yesterday i could open sapien and halo ce just fine without a hitch, and now sapien's giving me this crap:
http://i997.photobucket.com/albums/af95/sargejohnson/problem_with_sapien.jpg

also, when i start up halo ce now, i get a black screen, but i can still hear the background music of Halo. Then, when i press the start button and attempt to remaximise the Halo CE window, i only see the Halo CE loading screen and music.

i have tried to reinstall Halo CE and have also uninstalled the HEK, and the same problem happens.
Yet, Halo PC works fine.

i am confused, please help.

ps. the black window you see in that pict is the game window, which has some crap words below it too

You might have updated your video drivers, and the anti-aliasing has been set to ON as default. Turning it off from your gfx control panel should fix. If you didn't update any driver, I'd say it's worth to check if the anti-aliasing is on anyway.

i changed the anti-aliasing settings (which were 2x), and now sapien and halo ce works!
thank you very much!

ps: why do these programs behave like that when anti-aliasing is on anyway? a technical explanation would do too, just so i can understand the situation.

You're welcome :)

I can't explain properly why this happens, I only know it has to do with the shader system used in Halo Custom Edition only (because as far as i know Halo PC works well with Anti-Aliasing set to on).
