I'm not sure about everyone, but I think the most annoying thing about making Halo maps in 3ds Max is the STL check saying that you've got no errors, but Tool saying that you've got hundreds. Am I wrong?
So I was just wondering if any one of the brilliant minds of the halo community have a 3ds Max tool to replace the 3ds Max STL check before you go through and export and all that; kind of like a pre-tool utility of that makes sense.

Dont have any overlapping faces. Use the border select tool to find problems. Always use all verts on the border of a face when creating. Edited by Maniac1000 on Dec 6, 2009 at 04:56 PM

Yup, never backspace edges, you will get an odd open edge error while there are no open edges ;) OH YE! And make sure your model isn't in editable poly when you extract your model to a .jms

The editible mesh/poly thing only matters if you export with something other than blitzkreig. If using blitzkreig you can export in either. When removing edges or verts, dont use the delete, use backspace. If you want to delete the verts that make an edge (while deleting the edge) , hold ctrl and press backspace.
