Is it possible to make a marine switch weapons with the player in Campaign? If so I need help on how to do this...

To answer the OP's question without dicking around, it is not possible to make AI (in your case, Marines) to switch weapons for you. This was coded in Halo 2, but alas, not in Halo CE/Xbox.

Edit: Question for Dennis, why is dicking allowed as a valid word when it is clearly vulgar. =)

i thought about this. you can give ai weapons, and you can attach an invisible biped to somebody to see if another player is close to that biped, and you can use the flashlight and hud messages to tell people to switch.

the ammo counts wouldnt be consistent but in theory that should work

I asked kirby_422 about this awhile back for H2SPT and he said it's possible but probably not worth the work,cant really remeber though :/

yes, donut is basicly on the right track of what I told you. you script setup every AI, 2 bipeds to monitor area around him, the starting equipment script using unit_get_health and sheild and set vitality to sync those numberz, and you can acleast make the ammo numbers closer, but a waste of time.

Easy answer Yes.

It's easy to swap weapons. Just imagine setting that up for every single ai in a huge map though. Wouldn't be too bad to set up for the original Halo PC Campaign because at any given moment there are only a few marines with you any how.
