Hey i was thinking of a great idea for a new single player. i was playing star wars battlefield and noticed the thing that made it cool. it was like a war and i was wandering maybe with a few good scripts it could be done. ok as for the people that have played it know what its like as for those who dont heres what i was basicaly wandering. In SWB you can select a class off trooper depending how many kills or how good you are in that match. also there is a limit of suport you have like 200 or so. So would it be possible to make this for halo?

You can't choose your class via scripts I'm pretty sure.
You certainly can't track kills and base the class choices off the kills.
In short, no, not possible.

yes, this is possible, and i've also already thought about it, not even that hard though, but you'll need to find a map that fits the theme well...

Got anything to back that up?

Me. It's something similar, but not exact. I haven't really spent time beginning dev on the map. When the time comes, all shall be revealed.

That's a lot of evidence, Bo.
No sarcasm intended.

yeah gamma has the point system figured out so if you like were able to click on a name of a certain class like lets say sniper. youd spawn and idk some sort of script would change your model to a sniper class.

@ Bo: Stop posting to increase your post count :|

@ Slayer117: To change the model, just change the permutation. To change the starting weapon, use a different starting profile.

I'm assuming the seperate classes would have different weapons?
Maybe, you could spawn players at seperate points depending on what class they choose, and then have the classes weapons placed on the spawn point, but you couldn't spawn with the weapons as that would require multiple starting profiles which would have to be referenced every time a player spawned. AFAIK that's not possible.

Actually, it is possible to keep track of kills; use a seperate encounter for each AI and detect whenever the encounter's living count is 0, then add 1 to a variable whenever that happens.

Also, you can select different starting profiles according to situation, using a few simple scripts.

Sorry if I misinterpreted anything, I don't really understand what you're trying to achieve here. In fact, I don't play SWB.

He wants a class based game. Classes are like a set of characters that lead in a certain tactic, or style.
Such as Snipers, Stealth, Assault, Explosives, etc.

Which is what I've managed to do. So far, for specialized roles, I have: Medic, Sniper, Spotter, Gunner, and Engineer. Don't ask what each does, because

a) I probably won't say
b) I probably won't even finish this map
