Well I have new FP arms (not the default rig, it's a different rig) and a gun which has been animated for the arms, but when I put them in-game they don't show up. I know this sometimes occurs when there are different node checksums, but I don't think that's the problem. What else could be causing this?

hmmm... a gun can be animated for any arm, doesnt matter which one.

Last time I checked, different rigs can't use the same animations...

anyways, any errors while compiling or something?

Nope, compiles fine. I also made scenery objects to make sure the models work, and they do. Any other suggestions?

Frame bone24 (or something like that) should be located at 0, 0, 0. And the gun should be pointing in the same direction as the default arms when you import it.

I've done both these things, still nothing... Any other ideas?

EDIT: Just in case anyone is ever searching for this same problem (or a similar one):

[17:18] SeanTheLawn: hey, are you busy?
[17:20] [H3K][BP][ASP][HMM][VMT]: who are you?
[17:21] SeanTheLawn: well i was going to introduce myself if you weren't busy
[17:21] [H3K][BP][ASP][HMM][VMT]: lol
[17:21] SeanTheLawn: lol
[17:21] SeanTheLawn: I'm just a modder looking for some help with something
[17:22] SeanTheLawn: I don't actually know how I found you
[17:22] SeanTheLawn: but you've done first-person arms before right?
[17:22] SeanTheLawn: in Halo
[17:22] [H3K][BP][ASP][HMM][VMT]: i dont animate fp graphs for halo if you mean that
[17:22] SeanTheLawn: i know, but have you gotten new fp arms in-game?
[17:22] [H3K][BP][ASP][HMM][VMT]: yes, several
[17:23] SeanTheLawn: i see
[17:23] SeanTheLawn: well I wa trying to get some new fp arms in-game, but they don't show up in halo
[17:23] SeanTheLawn: and i have a weapon animated with those arms to test
[17:23] [H3K][BP][ASP][HMM][VMT]: most people forget to change the node checksum
[17:24] SeanTheLawn: right, do I copy the fp animation checksum to the weapon model checksum?
[17:24] [H3K][BP][ASP][HMM][VMT]: yes its located in the very bottem of the animation tag, copy the number, and paste it in the top of the gbxmodel
[17:24] [H3K][BP][ASP][HMM][VMT]: as for the arms, just copy the node checksum of the stock arms
[17:25] SeanTheLawn: oooh ok, i didn't know that second part
[17:25] SeanTheLawn: does it matter that these arms have a different number of bones?
[17:26] [H3K][BP][ASP][HMM][VMT]: if you animated it with the same ones it wouldnt, but most people dont since its a hussle to redo every weapon just for a different boneset in the fp arms, thus why noone attempted an elite rig with correct elite boneset, as even i faked it by not using the middle finger in the rig at all for instance
[17:26] SeanTheLawn: aha, I see
[17:30] SeanTheLawn: hm... is there any other reason why they might not show up in-game?
[17:30] [H3K][BP][ASP][HMM][VMT]: maybe you forgot to link it to the frame
[17:36] SeanTheLawn: ok i just checked, and the gun is linked
[17:36] SeanTheLawn: but
[17:37] SeanTheLawn: i noticed one of my bones, "frame r thumb2", actually had 2 spaces between "r" and "thumb", and in the fp hands model it only has 1 space
[17:37] SeanTheLawn: might that be the problem
[17:38] [H3K][BP][ASP][HMM][VMT]: yes the name is important
[17:39] SeanTheLawn: must've been a typo.. hopefully this fixes it
[17:41] SeanTheLawn: you, sir
[17:41] SeanTheLawn: are a hero
[17:41] [H3K][BP][ASP][HMM][VMT]: lol
[17:41] SeanTheLawn: Thanks a shizload
[17:41] SeanTheLawn: your name will be in the credits if I ever release these
[17:42] SeanTheLawn: what should i put you as
[17:42] [H3K][BP][ASP][HMM][VMT]: BP Wizard if you like
[17:42] [H3K][BP][ASP][HMM][VMT]: lol
[17:42] SeanTheLawn: sounds good
