why do you talk when you know your gona embarass yourself. i didnt say they are two different universes but they are extremely different. obviously you still have to understand programming because both could be created in the same language(for the most part) but the design IN the programs are nothing alike. with apps you just have to deal with predefined and very simple inputs such as buttons on screen, whereas with game engines you have to interpret a keyboard full of unputs, have mouse listeners and allow them to all be used at the same time. for that you need seperate functions. in basic apps you typicly have 1 chunk of programm that loops and depending on the input, the result of the loop changes. for game engines you have to have one main class that determines chich subsections to run based on the given inputs. oh and if you are making a decent game you have to deal with three dimensions. oh and not to mention that it has to load models and pictures, and generate particles and then render them as fast as possible all the while opening and playing audio files.
by the way there is no multiplayer game better than halo three, no graphicly oriented game better than crysis, and there is no storyline better than halo 2. if 2D is what your into i can make you a nice flash game in a few minutes tho.

this flea guy is right in his descriptions of programming. he clearly has enough experience in programming to see the difference in programming a game and an app, but if hes seriously going to call 3 people "tards" because they say that programming a game engine is similar to programming an app, which it is if youre talking purely about code. again, the guy knows how to program im sure, but the reason i called him out is because hes calling other people tards when they really arnt wrong.

the stuff i quoted is funny because hes asserting that the halo series is the best thing since sliced bread after sarcastically telling somebody to upgrade from an NES. the SNES might be a little old for some of you, but some of the games on there, such as final fantasy 6, secret of mana, super mario world, and yoshi's island, all have more replay value than some of the 3d games i have played. graphics dont mean jack if you cant back it up with good gameplay and a good story.

If you think halo is the best game in the world, then you need to go look at some other games, man.
No doubt, Halo is fun, but there are far superior games to Halo. Graphics-wise and storyline-wise.

finaly some intelligence. i only mocked you donut cuz honestly up til now i had never seen you write anything that really seemed..smart. btw i never said halo had the best graphics. crysis does. and yes i think that halo 3's multiplayer is extremely fun and it never really gets boring like some online games. and yes i also said that halo 2 has the best story but really i think that the entire halo universe (including the books) is the best story, i just said halo 2 cuz it was the best of the three games.
