Ok, I was playing CE a couple of minutes ago on 1.00 servers (i'm using version changer) and everything was fine when suddenly says the game has closed down. Now this happens quite often so I just go back to the internet lobby. However, when I try to load servers, none are found. That's wierd so I try again. Then it says "Error connecting to the gamespy master server." So I switch to version 1.08 and the same thing happens. Then I exit CE and restart it, repeat the previously stated steps, and still no effect.

Since version 1.09 was recently released to the public, I was wondering if this could be the issue? Perhaps the Master Server is undergoing changes? Versions 1.00-1.08 no longer supported?

EDIT: Problem solved, everything is back to normal. (for now)

me too, I was just trying to play halo UB, because I finally found my manual with my good cd key, and then all of a sudden, when i was so happy, and wanting to play online again, this happened to me to, I am using the 2.0.3 version, so it must be gamespy updating their servers, or it is the end, or it crashed :(

Halo UB for mac! God, do you read? I just got a new cd key for the Halo Universal Binary for mac, and it is 2.0.3!

It's back up for me too. Guess it was just server maintanance or something.

I'd love it if all the pirates got their arses kicked.

This maintenance is usually (i think) the blacklisted keys being updated.
I would also gloat and hug my cd key.

I don't see the point in pirating a $20 game.

Some people never would buy some things.
I have indeed pirated some things, only things i would never consider buying though. did anyone loose money?

Auctually , poor people are not equal to fail.
People who can afford a PC and have to pirate a 20$ game is fail.

what about ppl who can barely afford a pc and have to build it, then have a legal copy but then pirate it to have fun in school with the lan cause classes are just that boreing, and also map with hek in school? lol

Well actually I mean poor as in nothing at all, not the poor where somebody is struggling, but still has a house.

er... what?

generally people who can't afford a house can't afford to spend money on a PC either.
