It has no animations for holding the weapons. If you try to give it anything it will hold it in the center of its body.

They're mechanics. Since the Covenant uses a lot of Forerunner tech in their ships/weapons/armor/etc, they don't really understand it, so they use Engineers, which are somewhat cyborgs created by the Forerunners as their mechanics to repair their stuff. Umm....... How do you know that, I have halo 2 and i never seen them He probably read the books and played ODST. btw, they're not in halo 2.
