I have a SketchUp model of a Halo map I made but I can't download Halo Editing Kit because I have so much stuff installed, so I have a question. "Can I transport a Google SketchUp model into a halo map?" If you have a question about how I can make it a map, I can export my model into a 3DS Max one. Help.

You need HEK in order to put your map into Halo ce. You also have to export it as a 3ds file so it can be imported into 3ds max and fix the errors. If the map looks good I'm sure someone is nice enough to do it for you but I wouldn't bet on it.

Post pics of the map, you probably stand a better chance of getting someone to do this for you.

Export it as a .3ds / .obj.
Import into 3ds max, fix all errors like open edges ect...
Export final 3ds max model to jms
Compile ect...

To make this more clear. If you have Google Sketchup Pro you cant put the model in 3ds max which is the Modeling program for hce then use and exporter to make it into a map basically. But you need Pro in order to do it correctly. I know I used to have it but i dont anymore.

You can export it as 3ds then import into Gmax or 3ds Max. Should be easy from there. Unless it has a bunch of errors.

You never made this topic.
If you want someone to do that then make your own thread.

I never said it was not on topic. Its called thread jacking and its just annoying, if you are serious then you would make a thread.

I would consider fixing and getting in game a skechup model if it looks fun.

It's not a very good model tbh. Seemed to me the guy who modeled it did so with no knowledge whatsoever of sealed world rules.

++++

Exporting .3ds files will work, but as often as not it seems to miss random tris.

You're better off finding a .dxf exporter(which will work with the free version of Sketchup). Can't remember where I found the one I'm using, but it exports with a hell of a lot fewer problems than either the built-in .3ds or .dxf exporters that come with the pro version.
