It's wired... Why would you need to charge a wired controller? You just plug the cord into a USB on your computer.

No. The charger only sends ''Power'' to the controller. There's no control data exchange.

The controller works well for Halo CE, but has no crosshair magnetism, and there's deadzone so you'd probably be walking to the left while you're trying to stand still. The auto-aim built into the game is the only reason it's playable with a controller.

You can't walk or aim diagnally either, which really takes away from using the controller. I Love the feel of using a control, but you just can't use it that well with Halo CE.

The controller works fine, sometimes you slide around a bit. That's all.

I bought a wired controller just to use on CE. I have a setup where my tv is one of my computer moniters and make it feel like I was playing with a console and all. I use it for messing around in SP and to imagine what all the custom content would feel like if it had an xbox counterpart. There is no way you can play competitivly in MP with it.

I went 16 and 1 in a server with a controller, whoring the sniper. Sniping with the controller feels much more precise, but harder to maneuver

You have to turn connect the controller before starting up, then go into gamepads (under options), and make it one that you can use. Then in controls you can give it whatever button layout you want. It works perfectly for me, but there isn't any vibration.

I have the "Microsoft Xbox 360 Wireless gaming Reciever for Windows" adapter and it works.
H2v = Pro cause button setup is hardcoded.
Halo CE sucks no sensitivity so the SLIGHTEST movement will have u walking. only can use one button once in button layout. And the joysticks just suck with Halo CE overall.. not recommended.
H2V yes, go. The reason controllers are good for Halo 2 Vista is you get crosshair magnetism with a controller and the mouse and keyboard input for H2V is half-assed like nothing else. NO other FPS on the PC plays anything remotely like Halo 2 Vista. You may get more maneuverability with mouse and keyboard in H2V, but the amount of accuracy you gain from using a controller overwhelms it. Play a game of snipers with mouse/keyboard on H2V, then play a game with a 360 controller and see how much your hit percentage increases. It's ridiculous. if you had read my post you would realize im making a sarcastic remark about the value of a wireless controller receiver vs the value of a wired controller. you could just buy the wired controller for the same price as the receiver. now you have 2 controllers, and the wired one can be used with your 360 too.
