Thank you for replying! I have never used this program before and i read the instructions. Could you explain to me how to use this to obtain the base model from the level infinity?

The bsp converter will give you a bunch of flipped faces, missing faces , no sky geometry ,scaling troubles and more. Send Haloguru a polite pm and he may give you a fixed Infinity model.

It won't give you a skybox, but if your going to be importing it just to modify the BSP, then it should be pretty simple for you to make your own. It works perfectly fine for getting the bases out of. The only real problem is double sided faces.

By welding all the verts and re smoothing it. Technically it should get though tool fine.

what do you mean by "Technically it should get through tool fine"? Are you saying that i shouldn't have to edit the model so it won't give me any errors when ran in tool?

Yes, you can have open edges as long as the verts are in the same exact spot. So the imported base should work w/o having to weld anything.

When you import it, it is all a smoothing group of 1 and it just has detached faces to make corners. You can weld and re smooth it all, or you can keep it as is.

Normally it's fine. I don't check that and the model comes out just fine. I think that one is really only useful on Gmax since it gets imported weird.

Like I said, I never use that button. Although when I did use Gmax the import always messed up the materials, and that's the only time I would check that, so it would be easy to fix it. Edited by chrisk123999 on Oct 1, 2009 at 09:11 PM
