ok so i'd like to know how to make my spartan ai throw nades and melee, how do i do that?

To make them melee, I think there's some things you have to modify in their actor so that they melee when berserking. I can't go check now, but try copying some things from the elite actor, not actor_variant. For throwing grenades, that's in the actor variant. Make sure the grenade velocity is a positive integer, and set the grenade chance, and ranges. The rest are self explanatory.

no it is activated by getting close to an enemy and the automatically melee, it wont work with my spartan III  however i still would like to know how to make them throw grenades.

No, there's a melee range, and berserk. Berserk means they will willingly get close to an enemy, and melee. The standard melee only triggers if you're close to them. As for throwing grenades, refer to what I said above.

Gamma you seem to know alot about this so I was wondering if you know of a way to make ai hold 2 different weapons.

You can, but they won't switch weapons. There is a way to make the illusion of switching weapons, which is what I'm doing for firefight.
