This is a map request.
I have asked Arteen if people can modify his map, and he said yes.
I want someone to edit delta ruined. Make everything much darker, so that its pretty much impossible to see people without flashlights. It should be at night.
Make flashlight range longer, and more powerful. Reduce Flashlight battery to around 30 seconds.
After you have done that, you can add some other fun stuff, like flashbangs and flairs, but i'll elaborate later.

(and i have, for some other games, although modding in that other game seems to be much easier than making maps here.)

this would be pretty cool. you could have some hanging lights that light up a weapon on the ground but doesnt really show you anything else. put some fog in, add some cricket ambiance sounds with the occasional wolf howl. this could really convey an awesome feel

Without lights, it would probably be difficult to find weapons. However, I rather let people use flashlights to look around for them, rather than put lights by weapon spawn points, because then the whole map would have illuminated areas, ruining the point.

So , in your map we would be stumbling around trying to find other people with our flashlights going off every 30 seconds , and have campers looking for points of light to snipe at? Please include SOME structures with light.

Please include SOME structures with light. 30 Seconds isn't that short a time... enough to find AND kill someone. And delta ruins is a small map, its pretty easy to find people, even with lights out. Especially because people WONT be stumbling around trying to find each other because they're smart enough to use their flashlights. I'm guessing that most people will be going around USING flashlights until it runs out. Anyway, its up to balance issues. Maybe a little more flashlight time. And, once we get this thing started, we can have deployable light thingys, like plasma grenades that have a 1-min detonation time, and are really bright, so you could use it as a flare (And stick people so everyone can see them and shoot them.) Maybe, if worst comes to worst, light posts at all the sniping spawn points (i believe there are 2) so snipers won't be super overpowered.

Like the shotgun in [ h2 ] wizard by jesse. That's a pretty nice example of what Donut is referring to. I think.
Also Advancebo already posted it on the sight, that is it's called lights out delta ruined.

Thanks Advancebo http://hce.halomaps.org/index.cfm?pg=3&fid=4920So I see that you've made some upgrades. The plasma nade looks nice, and you've beefed up the Plasma Rifle. And, for some reason, Theirs a banshee ontop of the flamethrower spawn point. How long have you been working on this map? The plasma nade seems sort of weak, It will allways either depleat all your sheilds or kill you, and you have to be practically standing on it for it to kill you. I rather convert it to a flair, seeing that it allready has nice graphics. Could you make its timer alot longer, like 2-3 mins, and make it more luminous before its explosion (so it shines light around it). Loop the current animation, make the explosion smaller, and make it so that it does no damage. For the frag grenade, make it so that, when it explodes, It illuminates a large part of the map, and let the illimunation linger a bit longer. And could you increase the light output of the light bulbs by the flag spawn points... like, make then less bright themselves, and make the area around it more bright.
