I'm using a .shader_model for my fern and have checked one of Bungies plants to see what I should have selected and setup in the shader. Can anyone tell me what makes the alpha channel work as an opacity map, right now all I'm getting is black on the areas of the plane that should be getting clipped.

Also I did go into the bitmap and set the format to "compressed with explicit alpha".

I think you have a add a layer mask, need in the layer mask, make every you want to see, white and everything you dont want to see black (or gray if you want it transparent). If you are havuing trouble, there is a tutorial on this site (I think its called alpha tutorial, but I am not entirely sure).

You have to use shader_transparent_chicago for it.
